I played primarily console games until around 2011 when I got an upgraded PC at home. Granted, some games I did play on the computer beforehand, like Wizard 101 and Newgrounds flash games, but that was on a shitbox HP tower from 2005, and that wasn't running any serious PC games. I grew up on the:
I still possess most of these consoles and hook them up when I'm in the mood to play on hardware, but I mainly default to emulating these consoles for convenience.
The upgraded PC wasn't necessarily an upgrade as it was another shitbox HP, but as an all-in-one (probably worse than a tower). It wasn't until 2015 when I got my own dedicated gaming PC for the release of Overwatch in May 2016. The computer sported an incredible GTX 750Ti which was upgraded to a 1050Ti next Christmas. PC has continuted to be my main way to play games, along with a few handhelds:
I did also own an Xbox 360 and Xbox One at a point, but sold both. Was not a great investment
Do you still use your older consoles? How often do you use them and what do you play on them? Let me know!
